Well hello true believers.
I am Roxi Johnson, and just between you and me...I am a world famous superhero. We'll just keep that our little secret though. Pinky swear, right?
Anyway, Some of you know me, most of you do not. But, I'm always eager to make new friends, and enemies as it were. So, I will be debuting for CPW on the 29th. I lent you an advanced copy of this special issue of my adventures and I know you'll be eager for more. And guess what, today you that great issue. These things are selling like hotcakes but I always save one for you guys.
As I said Some of you may already know my name. You may know my face. You may have seen me at the supermarket. We may have even had a conversation once or twice or over twitter, But that's all small potatoes right now. If you don't know me, that's fine, but I will promise that you will not forget it. But the truth is, I have many names, many faces, I may have been standing right next to you, or above you, or anywhere I chose and you may not have seen me. Recognition isn't a big thing with me in my line of work. It's MY JOB. And I'm good at it.
Anyway, It's always nice to meet new people and make new friends. I always try to be nice to everybody, so I would like to think that we can all be friends.
But then again, I see people like Kandi Washington, and I know we might have some problems at the start.
First of all, she keeps a running tally of everyone she's defeated. I'm amazed she's able to keep track of that. But then again, when you are all over the wrestling landscape, that kind of thing may be good to keep track of. It passes the time I guess. But it's still kind of annoying that you need to flaunt your victories over people like it's something that will stick with them for a long time. Maybe losing to you is some kind of really humiliating thing. Maybe it's so awful and terrible like people just look at the person you beat and go "You lost to Kandi Washington? You are the worst." Is it like that? Because that means I should probably train extra hard to avoid that kind of thing.
Second, and probably most annoying, you named yourself "The First Lady of CPW" You weren't even the first female to sign here, and second, you're name is Kandi. That, dear, is a stripper name. Not that there is anything wrong with doing that for a living. If it pays the bills and it isn't illegal, I have no problem with it. But calling yourself a lady with the reputation that proceeds you, is stretching just a touch, don't you think?
So, having said that, we're facing each other in the first round to find out just who will be the first ever CPW Siren's champion. You and I are going to go to war Kandi, I hope you're ready for that. Because losing to you, based on what I've heard, is not something I plan to spend a perfectly good Wednesday night doing. I don't plan on..."bowing to the queen" as you like to call it. Because as far as I know, you aren't really royalty, and well, no one around here is practicing their courtesy when you walk into a room. So I'll just skip that, and beat you in the tournament.
But I've dealt with rich, stuck up, people before, I've dealt with many of them. Most of them telling me how much better than they are than me. Telling me how much more money they have, how they have more friends, and all that. It's tired, and old, and I'm going to just sleep on it. Because it really doesn't mean anything when it comes down to "throwing down", as they say. And that, I happen to be very, very good at. Kandi, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the reality of the situation is I'm going to have to beat you and advance, regardless of how much money you have.
I'll be honest, anything you have more of than me, doesn't make me feel bad, nor is it going to effect how I approach this match. And I'll let you in on a little secret, none of the fans care either.
Like, you remember that show "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous", remember that? It was the precursor to...MTV Cribs. After MTV started to suck. But the point is, people don't really care about how rich people live. You know why? They're concerned with their own lives. I don't have the time to care about how rich you are. I have cities to defend, and lives to save. So sorry Kandi, you just aren't as important as you think you are.
I know that hurts. It hurts me to say it, I hate giving people bad news, but I have to give them the truth you know. And the truth about you, is your record may be impressive, but you are not. I hope this isn't the case, but hey, if it looks like a duck, as they say.
So, good people, you can listen to Kandi and be bored out of your skull... Or you can sit back, relax and get into one of my many adventures that you will no doubt leave you on the edge of your seat....
Or they might not. Whatever. I make no promises. Don't judge me.
The bottom line is I'm going to entertain you all, I'm going to bring you something that you haven't seen before, and I'm going to do pretty well in this tournament if I do say so myself. I may even win the thing. I will certainly do my best. But hey, I don't know some of you may surprise me. Some of you may shock me. Some of you may disappoint me. I'm just covering my bases here. This tournament royal is like a Hollywood blockbuster with a massive budget. You may not get your money back, and you certainly won't get your time back if you see it and it sucks. But that's another story for another day.
I'll see you all in D.C.
Later, Gators.
[ Roxi returns to her apartment, and sighs before dropping her bag on the ground. She walks and starts up the computer before standing and heading to the window and stretching before looking out of it. Once her computer loads up, she rubs her neck and grimaces before sitting down. The Skype icon appears. ]
Roxi - Hey Vision.
Vision - Hey Rox, Tough luck in England.
Roxi - Yeah, it happens. It was a little weird, but hey, what can I expect really. Some promoters are shady.
Vision - You run into this often?
Roxi - All the time.
Vision - Wow. So, what's the deal with CPW then? Is he on the level?
Roxi - That guy, probably is crazy, but he seems fair. But you never know.
Vision - Oh, well that's good.
Roxi - Did the city descend into chaos while I was gone?
Vision - No, it's still the same. But what about you?
Roxi - What about me?
Vision - Keira, remember?
Roxi - I know.
Vision - You really like her don't you?
Roxi - I do. She's great. She's a great Zombie killing partner.
[ Vision arches a brow. ]
Vision - That's not what I meant.
[ Roxi sighs ]
Roxi - You're right. I...I'm crazy about her. Is there anything going on tonight?
Vision - All's quiet on the radios.
Roxi - I'm going to see her.
Vision - Good luck.
Roxi - Thanks.
[ With that, Roxi gets up and heads for the door. ]
Roxi - Do me a favor, and let me know if anything goes down.
Vision - Will do.
Roxi - Well...almost anything.
Vision - Gotcha.
[ Roxi departs. ]
[ Roxi knocks on Keira's door. ]
Get it together. Stop sweating. It's okay. She's just...
[ Keira answers the door. ]
Beautiful.
Keira - Hi! Welcome home!
[ Keira lightly kisses Roxi on the cheek and hugs her tightly. ]
Keira - I missed you so much!
Roxi - I missed you too.
Keira - Come on in.
Roxi - Thanks.
[ Roxi steps into Keira's apartment. ]
Keira - Did you bring me something from England.
Roxi - Yeah. I did. Oh, I...I left it back at my apartment. It's really nice. I know you'll love it.
Keira - Aw, it's okay. I'm just happy you're here.
[ Keira sits on her couch, leans back and crosses her right leg over her left. ]
She's teasing me.
Roxi - Keira, I need to talk to you.
Keira - So talk.
[ Keira twirls her finger through her hair. Roxi is visibly flustered. ]
Roxi - It was about last week.
Keira - Oh..
Roxi - I think I made my choice.
Keira - Oh...you did?!
Roxi - Yes....I'm crazy about you. Everything we've shared, everything you've done for me. The whole week, I couldn't stop thinking about you. You've consumed my life since you came into it.
Keira -...
Roxi - I guess, what I'm trying to say is...I think we can make this thing official.
Keira - You mean it?
Roxi - Yes.
Keira - Thank you.
[ Keira hugs Roxi, and Roxi hugs her. ]
Roxi - So, you up for some Zombie killing?
Keira - Well...I was thinking we can...really make this official.
[ Keira smiles, and Roxi smiles back at her. ]
Roxi - Oh...
Keira - I mean..
Roxi - I...
She's so beautiful, so sexy, so...mmmm.
Keira - Let me give you a proper welcome home.
[ Keira saunters up to Roxi and begins caressing her face and body. ]
Roxi - I...
Keira - Shhh...
[ Then, ever the buzzkill, Roxi's wrist communicator goes off. Keira is confused and Roxi smiles nervously. ]
Roxi - I have to take this.
Keira - Oh,...okay.
Roxi - Vision?
Vision - I don't mean to interrupt, but..there's something going on, and I need your assistance.
Roxi - I...is it urgent?
Vision - Yeah. Pretty important.
[ Roxi turns to Keira. ]
Roxi - I...I really have to go.
Keira - Oh...
Roxi - It's not you. I promise. Something's come up, and it's important.
Keira - I..understand...I guess.
Roxi - Keira, I will make it up to you.
Keira - Okay...
Roxi - Thank you.
[ Keira's heart seems to sink as she sits down on the couch. Roxi walks over to her and kisses her. ]
Roxi - I will be back soon.
Keira - Okay.
[ With that, Roxi departs Keira's apartment.]
Roxi - Vision, you have the worst timing.
Vision - I'm sorry, but Blood Priest is on the loose again.
Roxi - Well, you made me look like a real jerk.
Vision - I'm sorry.
Roxi - *Sigh* Sorry. I'm just flustered. Where's he at?
Vision - 58th and Grand.
Roxi - I'm on the way.
I hated doing that, I really did. But, almost as exciting as being with Keira...cracking some skulls. Let's do this. Cites to defend, lives to save, faces to rock. It's a superhero's life.
Remember true believers, if all seem lost, and you're in need, you can always count of me to give you that glimmer of hope.
