Seems to me as if CPW loves giving second chances to people who don’t deserve it. With the exception of myself, the rest of the competition doesn’t belong here. Really, what has these girls done to earn a contendership shot at Picture Perfect? For one, Zelda shouldn’t even be in this match. Because she’s the former champion, she has the inside track on everyone else for a rematch with Roxi anyway, so why does she have to win something she already earned? Since the day Keira Fisher signed her contract, what has she done as of late? Oh, she’s been managing Roxi all this time. Now she wants to be in the ring all of a sudden the moment and then she’s granted a title shot out of nowhere? Well, last week she got her title shot, loses, and surprise, surprise, she gets a contender's spot? Seriously? What kind of backward thinking is that? But then there's Heather Shears, Heather Stripes, whatever. How exactly did she get a title shot again? Oh, that’s right. This is CPDub's way of rewarding her for pinning me a few weeks ago, right? She’s been in, what, two matches. Two! I call BS on this.
Heather, if you're going to go with another round of stupid, lame puns, this isn't the week for it, sweetheart. You're wasting your time, and you're wasting my time. This is a match that you're not going to win. Why? Because you've got two other people to worry about, and you've got me. I'm the favorite to win this week. Not because I say so, but because it's clearly obvious. But hey, you want to prove me wrong, I welcome the challenge. Not that you'll live up to it, but it sure makes things interesting, yes?
As for Keira, are you okay? Did Roxi kiss your boo-boo and make it all better? You should really play to your strengths: standing around, pleasing the crowd, and taking off your clothes. You don’t belong in a wrestling ring, you should continue doing what you do best, and that’s managing. Last week, was your first swimming lesson. And just when you thought it was safe to go in the water...
You'll be swimming with sharks tomorrow night.
I'd tell you to fish or cut bait, but it's a little late for that.
You're in deep now, sweetheart.
This is just another week of seeing how far this company can go in preventing me from getting my hands on the Sirens Championship. Fine. Be that way.
CPW, you want to throw another wrench in the works? You want to throw another obstacle in my way? Have me keep jumping through hoops? Don't stop on account of me. Go for it. Go right ahead. Knock yourselves out. I'm still going to go through the competition and become the number one contender.
Because I'll do whatever I have to, to get to Roxi Johnson.
«Mercedes breathes in the August chill air as our scene opens outside the confines of the Target Center sight of last week's CPW TV. It probably wasn’t the political way how she ruined the Sirens Championship match in the main event, even after the outcome was clearly obvious, but then who was going to stop her? If anything, Mercedes wanted to send a message to both champion and then-challenger that she wasn't go away quietly after Canadian Chaos.
Signed, sealed, and delivered.»
«She buttons her white overcoat and then contends with controlling her hair as the wind keeps sending it back in her face. Heading towards the exits toward the underground parking lot, she doesn't realize that one Calvin Hill was coming in the opposite direction.»
«She stops right then and there, waiting for the interviewer who runs up to her with a microphone. He takes a minute to catch his breath before getting the first words out of his mouth.»
Calvin Hill: Mercedes, you want to explain what went down tonight after the Sirens Championship tonight?
Mercedes Vargas: What's there to explain? A ten-year old can figure out why I took out the red head and the blonde. Why did I take them out? Because I can. Why did I wait until after the match was decided instead of, say, during the match? Wouldn't you be upset if a title match suddenly ended early? Look, I said earlier that if your name was Roxi Johnson and you are holding that title, you're going to be a target - as well as anyone who got in my way. Keira Fisher, unfortunately, was an innocent bystander.
Calvin Hill: Well, after tonight's course of events, what's next on your agenda?
«The question causes her to crack a smile.»
Mercedes Vargas: What's next? What happened tonight should give a good indication of what's next. I hope CPW was watching, because just how I ended Angel Kash tonight, I'm ooooonly getting started on my redemption tour, and more innocent bystanders like Keira Fisher is only going to suffer until I get what I want, and that's a match with Roxi for the Sirens Championship.
Calvin Hill: Mercedes, thanks for your time.
Mercedes Vargas: The pleasure was all yours, Calvin.
«Fade.»
Sydney, I know right now you’re either upset or probably didn’t care either way about your loss at Canadian Chaos, but let’s face facts – you’re no longer champion. And it’s almost predictable how you’re going to put a spin on this. You’re going to say that even though I was able to pin you, I was never able to close the deal at Canadian Chaos. You’ll try to save face any way you can in telling the world that the only reason why Roxi is holding that title right now is not because she was the better woman that night, but because you didn’t give your best. Well, that sounds a bit hypocritical, doesn’t it? The Best Ever not giving her best. Pretty hypocritical.
While Undisputed was, in your own words, an "A Knite to Remember," you might as well have called Canadian Chaos a night to forget. Unlike you, at least your brother was able to retain his title, but only by the skin of his teeth. See what happens when you rest on your laurels? You get exposed. You, on the other hand, didn’t take long for you to learn that lesson. There’s a reason why you’re the FORMER champion, Sydney. It’s because despite the spotless record and hyping yourself up, and others hyping you up, and the cupcake competition, aside from yours truly, you simply weren't good enough. But more importantly, you dropped the ball.
But then, it doesn’t really matter what I think, because at the end of the day, the record book still says you were the first-ever Sirens Champion, and nothing is going to change that. You set the standard, Sydney. You set the bar.
What else would you expect being the best ever?
Now, depending on who you ask, some might say you were the best transitional champion ever. Others might say you were the best paper champion ever. Still others might say you were the best overrated champion ever.
See how this works? Do you seem a theme here?
You were supposed to have a match with Aphrodite last show, only for it to be canceled, and you know, maybe it was all for the best – oh, there’s that word again - because I wouldn’t have shown my face either if I got embarrassed like you did at the pay-per-view. I never would have shown my face to the world after that performance. Still, 6-1 is still 6-1, but I’m willing to bet you don’t feel very good about it. You probably feel even worse knowing that you mailed it in.
When you think about it, that's kind of disappointing, even for you, Sydney.
Disappointing still? Losing this match.
I sure hope you give that 115% this time, otherwise you're going to have some real damage control.
You're not at that stage yet, but you're getting awfully close.
