Two weeks ago, I went toe to toe with Zelda Knite, the self-proclaimed best ever. Is she? Not in my opinion, but it's not for me to decide, and as far as I'm concerned, the re-match is something that will happen, and when it does, then we'll see how much that statement holds up. I shook her hand, but if she believe for one second she's seen the last of me, she's sorely mistaken. I want that siren's title.
But, At this point, I'm not the no.1 contender.
At least, not yet.
That brings me to Mercedes Vargas. Congrats on winning that number one contendership match at Undisputed. You got a win over Cindy Warren with Crystal's help. Good for you. Regardless of whether or not you needed it, you got it. It doesn't really matter how or why she helped you. She did. I was able to beat Cindy on my own, just saying. Mercedes, there's just something about you just rubs me the wrong way. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's there. In the air. It's all around, when I look at you, and listen to you talk. This feeling that makes me really only have one thing to say to you...
Shut. Up.
Really. That's it. And that felt pretty good. Yes, you are the number one contender. Yes, you pretty much pinned Zelda in that tag match, and yes, you dropped me on my head after that. All of that, while valid arguments for your confidence, is in this match, irrelevant. I owe you for a cheap shot, and that's what I'm getting payback for. And the fact that beating you sounds like a good way to pick up the pieces I feel like I lost after losing to Zelda.
I must admit, it was a nice touch with the whole "biff" "pow" soundbytes and pretty pictures, because apparently you think it's still 1966. But, I get it, you are not familiar with the comic world, so, you chose to use these dated references hoping they would make me mad or something, I guess. Well, it doesn't really. It just shows how ignorant you really are, and how much of a poser you've become. Video games with Zelda, Comic Books with me, I suppose if someone were a huge music fan you'd make all kinds of those references too. Whatever Mercedes, You can make whatever silly jokes you want, it doesn't really matter.
Because in the end, you'll wind up getting kicked in the head, and I'll be happier after I beat you.
It's time to get back on track and re-focus on gaining the CPW Siren's title. And that means, I have to go through you Mercedes. And despite what you think, I'm not going to have a problem at all kicking your head off. The only tough choice I have to make is, will I kick you in the head and pin you, or kick you in the head, then choke you out, then pin you, or just choke you out. I have a lot of options Mercedes, and I'm not afraid to use them all.
And then, when they show the reply of our match, and watch me kicking the crap out of you, they can use those "biff" "ouch" soundbytes to go right along with the match.
So, thanks for that. You have made me have an idea for my highlight reel.
Who says you're all bad?
Ta-ta for now.
[Roxi sits in her apartment, looking at something on the computer, her skype message starts, and Vision pops up on the screen. ]
Vision -Rox, you okay?
Roxi - I need a favor Vision.
Vision - What is it this time?
Roxi - I need you to look someone up for me.
Vision - You know the times I do this, it leads to something bad.
Roxi - I know, but I've searched as much as I can, and I haven't found anything.
Vision - What...or whom are you looking for.
Roxi - This woman. Cat. I've searched every database I can think of, and nothing on her pops up.
Vision - What are you thinking?
Roxi - I'm not sure. I don't know who she is, and she doesn't appear to be a criminal.
Vision - Maybe she's not.
Roxi - But you can only be one or the other when you dress up in costume, Vision. And she...is no hero.
Vision - So what do you think?
Roxi - I'm not sure. But, I have a bad feeling.
Vision - Why does it sound to me like you think you know who she is, and you just don't want to tell me?
Roxi - Because, that's right.
Vision - Wait...you don't think... Keira is...
Roxi - I don't know, but really, the signs point to her.
Vision - Really?
Roxi - Yes. The cuts on her body, the glass in her hair...it's weird, but I swear it's her.
Vision - So, really, you want me to confirm that it isn't her.
Roxi - Yeah.
Vision - Well, does she know about you?
Roxi - I don't think so. I haven't told her.
Vision -Maybe you could try that.
Roxi - I can't do that Vision.
Vision - Why not?
Roxi - Why not? Because my enimies will obviously use her to get to me. I can't put her in that kind of danger.
Vision - But from the stories you've told me, she can handle herself. In fact, she's just as good as you.
Roxi - Vision, stop making this more difficult than it needs to be.
Vision - Rox, I'm going to be honest here, I think you're just trying to avoid telling her. Eventually she's going to find out. And if it is her, then maybe it'll work out for you. You can be a crime fighting duo.
Roxi - ...
Vision - What?
Roxi - Just look it up.
Vision - And what do think the result will be if nothing comes up here either?
Roxi - Then... maybe...I don't know.
Vision - Checking....There's nothing.
Roxi - Nothing?
Vision - Rox, I'm searching 48 different databases. There's nothing.
Roxi - Are you sure.
Vision - Rox, I know I'm not a superhero or anything, but I do my job well.
Roxi - Grrr...fine.
[Later at Keira's apartment.]
Keira - Hey sweetheart.
Roxi - Hey.
Keira - What bring you around? Do you need more comfort over that loss?
Roxi - No, That's okay. You did plenty for me.
Keira - I still think you should have won.
Roxi - I know. I do to, but it's not the end of the world.
Keira - You could have been a double champion.
Roxi - I know, but it's fine. You gave me the Deadpool game, and for that, you're awesome.
Keira - Not to mention
Roxi - That too.
Keira - So, I was about to head out, was there something you needed?
Roxi - Actually, yeah, I...wait, where are you going?
Keira - To the rifle range.
Roxi - ...Excuse me?
Keira - The rifle range. You know, shoot guns and stuff.
Roxi - Since when are you interested in guns?
Keira - You know I like to try new things. It's just something I've wanted to do.
Roxi - Oh....alrighty.
Keira - Why the sudden distrust? Did I do something wrong?
Roxi - No. But it is a little weird. Can you even shoot?
Keira - I don't know, I've never done it before. Can you shoot?
Roxi - I'm pretty good.
Keira - Then...you wanna tag along?
Roxi - I guess.
Keira - Was there something else you wanted to talk about?
Roxi - It...can wait.
But, At this point, I'm not the no.1 contender.
