“Only a few days to go….”
Josh Steven’s smirks. A funny little boyish grin as he runs a hand through his long brown hair.
“In two matches in CPW I’ve gone one and one. First match I destroyed a guy who was supposed to be in this match. He was supposed to be a contender for the TV title but his attitude was so bad that CPW management in particular Mr Reagan decided his shot at the Television title was to be on the line in a match against me……”
“That American douchebag Jake Wakefield has not been seen or heard from since. And the reason for that is simple. See when he was in the ring with me I saw his will very slowly start to wither and break. I looked into the man’s eyes and minute after minute as he tried to mount some sort of offense against me, I watched the color leave his eyes and I watched the arrogance melt away…..”
“After the match, my arm was raised and I looked at Jake, and like most American’s when the going got tough, the weak walked away……”
Josh smiles wide. He tries to hold back laughter but let’s out an arrogant snicker.
“Now I realize that many of you fat, lazy fans sitting in your trailers probably just want me to go home right?. I hear it when I go to promotional events, I hear it chanted at CPW TV shows. I hear you all chant “U..S..A” and “Go home” because you’re all so original in your little barbs and jabs at me…..”
“Truth is, I would love nothing more than to be able to pack up my life and go back to Canada. I would love nothing more than to leave this arrogant cesspool of fake humanity behind me and go back to the amazing country of my birth but the unfortunate reality is that to live my wrestling dreams I have to be here…..”
“I have to put up with the social ignorance of your lowest common denominator thinking. I have to put up with the arrogance of your “common man”. I have to listen to you all lift yourselves up on a pedestal and talk about how the United States of America is the land of the free and the home of the brave…..”
Josh scoffs and folds his arms.
“Land of the free?. Give me a break. The only thing you people are free of is use of deodorant. And home of the brave?. Yeah you’re all real brave. I see all you people trying to instigate me and when I challenge the “common man” they run just like Jake Wakefield……..”
“You could all learn something from me. In fact I am going to be the bigger man and I’m going to teach you all the Canadian way. Look at last week. I faced Adam Knite, one of the two men in line to become the CPW World Champion. A man who I know of, a man who is a legend in this business and one of the few American’s I can respect……”
“I got into the ring with this multi-time world champion and as he and I battled back and forth he was able to get the better of me and he was the better man. Did I run?. No. Have I made excuses like a typical American?.....No…..”
Josh shrugs.
“I own my losses, I learn from them and like a man I vow to not make the same mistake twice.. I stand for integrity, honor and respect. And this week as we head into CPW’s first pay per view event I feel proud that I have gotten to this point in this new great company….”
“A point where I will step in the ring with three men and I will walk out as TV champion. Jimmy Warren, the perennial loser in the wrestling business, Cyrus Grey and Justice Hawx. I sat there and listened to Cyrus and Justice talk about Adam Knite like he is some kind of rookie child…..”
“Are they the type of men you enjoy having represent America?. Men who completely ignore the accomplishments of a man like Adam Knite and go on about themselves.”
Josh shakes his head.
“See gentlemen, Evolution has a way of passing people by. And you three have been placed in this match like me and have a chance at becoming the Television champion. Atleast you did…up until I was placed in the match…..”
“At undisputed I will take my place as a champion in CPW and as my star rises the American stars…will fall…..”
