One round down, two to go.
I have admit that I was expecting more from Kandi Washington, but what are you going to do? Beating her actually felt kinda good. I know I shouldn't take solace in the misfortune in others, I should be helping others. But someone like Kandi Washington just seems to bring me a lot of joy in defeating. I don't know, maybe I'm relishing this victory a little too much. Maybe I should be focusing on my next opponent.
Hang on...In your face Kandi Washington! I will tell you one thing, you will never see Roxi Johnson's name on the list of people who "bowed to the queen" That much is for sure.
So, anyway, I move on to the semi finals against Cindy Warren. Cindy did get attacked last week by Crystal Hilton, why, I don't know, but you can rest assured Cynthia that I don't need Crystal to come out and help me, I'm quite capable on my own. I do try and save the world every week. But you do something that's better than that in my eyes. You actually save people when they need help the most. I can save people from burning buildings or falling from several stories in the air, but I take the people I save, to people like you. You are a real hero Cindy. You should be proud of that.
I just don't see why you ever got into pro wrestling. I mean, you are nurse. You do good all the time, and yet, you are doing this too? I mean, saving the world doesn't exactly pay the bills for me, so wrestling is sort of my thing for income. You don't need to do this, I do. So it makes me wonder why you are here. But hey, if you are that big of a wrestling fan, I can't really blame you. This job is really fun.
Having said that, This tournament is pretty important, and I would very much like to win. Now, I simply want your best, and I'll bring my best, and then, the best woman will win. We'll see who's better when the match is over. I want to win, and I think you do too. Crystal Hilton can interfere if she likes, and if you need some protecting, I can do that too. But as far as the match goes I plan on winning, but, I will do you a favor, because of your standing in the world. I will not use any superpowers. I believe in a fair fight. I know how skilled you are, since you are in the second round also. So, I am excited.
But no matter how excited I am now, I'll be focused and ready to win. Good luck Cynthia.
[ We're at Keira's apartment, early morning. Roxi rolls over and out a bed, wearing some short shorts and a white tank top. As she sits up and brushes her hair from her face, Keira's hands start rubbing her shoulders. ]
Keira - Good morning.
Roxi - Morning.
Keira - How'd you sleep?
Roxi - I slept well.
Keira - That's good. Do you...want me to make you some breakfast.
Roxi - No. That's okay.
[ Roxi places her hand on Keira's affectionately. ]
Keira - So, what's on tap for today? I thought we might sleep in...
[ Keira smiles at Roxi, who smiles back. ]
Roxi - Actually, I'd love to, but I have an appointment today.
Keira - Oh?
Roxi - Yeah, just a trip to the doctor.
Keira - I hope it's nothing serious.
Roxi - No, just a checkup.
Keira - Oh, well, I'd love to go with you.
Roxi - You don't have to. It's not that serious.
Keira - But I want to.
Roxi - Really?
Keira - Of course. I can't have anything happen to my Roxi can I?
[ Roxi laughs a bit before standing at stretching. ]
Roxi - I guess it's okay.
Keira - Great.
Roxi - You know, I am kinda hungry.
Keira - I'll make you whatever you want.
Roxi - I think I'll just make some cereal.
Keira - You sure?
Roxi - Yeah. You don't need to trouble yourself over me.
Keira - It's no trouble.
Roxi - Still, I'm a big girl, I can handle making cereal.
Keira - If you say so.
[ Roxi walks into the kitchen and pours herself some cereal and sits down at Keira's table and starts to eat it. ]
Keira - Thanks for staying.
Roxi - My pleasure.
Keira - So...when do we get to stay at your place? I'd love to see it.
[ Roxi stops eating and stares at Keira, searching for something to say.]
Roxi - Heh. You don't want to stay there.
Keira - Why not?
Roxi - It's...it's messy.
Keira - I can help you clean it.
Roxi - No! I mean...no, it's okay. I can tidy it up, but it's small, it's cramped. I barely have enough room for myself.
Keira - Are...are you okay?
Roxi - I'm fine.
Keira - Are you sure? It's just an apartment. I think I can handle it, even if it's messy.
Roxi - It's not that exciting.
[ Keira shrugs. ]
Keira - Whatever you say.
Whew. That was close.
[ Later, they arrive at the Doctors office. ]
Roxi - Hey, thanks again for coming with me.
Keira - Wouldn't miss it for the world.
Roxi - Seriously, it's not that serious.
Keira - I want to be with you for everything. That's how relationships work.
Roxi - I know, but this is...routine.
Keira - Get used to it.
[ Keira slaps Roxi on the butt. ]
Roxi - Hey, not in public.
[ Keira giggles as she and Roxi check in, before sitting in the waiting room. Keira notices Roxi looking nervous about something. ]
Keira - Hey...are you okay?
Roxi - Fine, why?
Keira - You're fidgeting.
Roxi - It's nothing.
Keira - Are you sure?
Roxi - Yes.
Keira - Why do I get the feeling you're hiding things from me?
Roxi - Keira ...I..
Doctor Ruiz - Ms. Johnson? You're up.
Saved by the doc.
[ Roxi and Keira stand and follow the doctor into the back area. ]
Roxi - Doctor, this is Keira, she's my girlfriend.
Doctor Ruiz - Oh...hello.
Roxi - She's just here for support.
Doctor Ruiz - I see. So, how are you today?
Roxi - I feel good.
Doctor Ruiz - Well, we're going to run some routine tests and hopefully get you out of here and get you back to daily life.
Roxi - Okay.
Doctor Ruiz - Have a seat. I'll be back in a moment.
[ Roxi sits down on the table with that butcher paper on it and Keria sits in a chair near her. ]
Keira - Are you going to tell me?
Roxi - You look beautiful today.
Keira - That's not what I meant.
Roxi - Keira, I'm not hiding anything from you. Why would I?
Keira - I don't know, but you are awfully evasive.
Roxi - It's nothing.
Keira - It's not...
[ Dr. Ruiz walks back into the room with Roxi's chart. ]
Doctor Ruiz - Ms. Johnson, as your doctor, I must advise you about your chart.
Roxi - Oh?
Doctor Ruiz - Your chart, the injuries aren't very common for a pro wrestler.
Roxi - Wait, how many pro wrestlers do you see?
Doctor Ruiz - A couple. But you are by far the one I'm most worried about.
Roxi - Is it that bad?
Doctor Ruiz - Stretches, tears, broken bones and stitches are common for pro wrestlers. You have more than anyone I've ever seen. Plus deep bruising suggesting falls from several feet in the air, the kind of wear and tear that you'd see on a daredevil, not a pro wrestler.
Roxi - But, I feel good.
Doctor Ruiz - That's shocking too. You seem to heal very quickly from injury.
Roxi - Good genetics I guess.
Doctor Ruiz - It must be. Alright, let's get those clothes off and get you on your way.
Roxi - Okay.
[ Roxi has seemingly completed everything as Dr. Ruiz looks over her chart. ]
Doctor Ruiz - Alright, looks like your perfectly healthy now. No signs of lasting injury.
Roxi - That's great.
Doctor Ruiz - Although, I don't know how. But none the less you seem to be okay. Let me just...
[ Dr. Ruiz stops writing and looks at Roxi's chart. ]
Roxi - What?
Doctor Ruiz - It looks like you're overdue for your allergy shot.
[ Roxi's eyes widen. ]
Roxi - I...I don't need a shot, I just had one.
Doctor Ruiz - Yes, you do.
Roxi - No. I'm fine.
Doctor Ruiz - It's just a shot. I'll be right back.
[ Dr. Ruiz leaves as Roxi tries to put her clothes on quickly. ]
Roxi - We have to go.
Keira - But...you didn't get your shot.
Roxi - I know, that's why we need to go.
Keira - Roxi, you're acting like a little kid.
Roxi - I don't need a shot.
Keira - It's not that big of a deal.
Roxi - Keira, please do not argue with me on this, okay?
Keira - What's the matter with you?
[ Dr. Ruiz returns. Roxi eyes the needle. ]
Doctor Ruiz - What are you...
Roxi - Keep it away from me!
Doctor Ruiz - What?
Roxi - That needle. You stay away from me!
Doctor Ruiz - It's just a needle, it will last 2 seconds.
Roxi - It's DEATH! You keep that needle of death away from me! I will bite you!
Doctor Ruiz - Ms. Johnson, you need to calm down.
Roxi - You calm down!
Doctor Ruiz - Keira, would you...mind helping me?
Roxi - Keria, don't you take her side in this!
Keira - Roxi, you need to relax, it's just a shot, it'll be over before you know it.
Doctor Ruiz - She's right.
Roxi - I'm not doing it. You can't make me!
Keira - Stop acting like a child.
Roxi - Keira, you don't understand.
Keira - I think I do now. You were nervous because you're afraid of needles.
Roxi - Maybe. What of it?!
Keira - Roxi, seriously, you don't need to be afraid. It's just a shot. It's not going to kill you. I'll be here the whole time. You can squeeze my hand.
Roxi - You...you mean it?
Keira - Yes.
Doctor Ruiz - (Whispering) Keep her talking...
Keira - I will be right here with you.
Roxi - I don't want to.
Keira - You can do it.
Roxi - Give me your hand then.
Keira - Here. I'm not going to leave.
Roxi - Hey! You keep away I'm not ready yet!
Keira - Come on, easy.
Roxi - Stop, you're making me nervous.
Keira - It's not a big deal.
Roxi - Are you sure?
Keira - Yup. No sweat.
Roxi - I...alright. Let's get this over with.
[ Keira has to forceibly hold out Roxi's arm so that Dr. Ruiz can inject her. ]
Roxi - Nonononononono!
Doctor Ruiz - Ms. Johnson! I haven't even stuck you yet!
Roxi - Owowowowow!
Doctor Ruiz - There. All done.
Roxi - It's the worst pain ever!
Doctor Ruiz - You can take her out. We're all done.
Roxi - I feel like I might die.
Keira - Come on, you big baby. I'll nurse you back to health.
I'm so torn about Keira. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up. I don't want to hurt Keria, but she can't really know the reality of the situation. I couldn't live with myself if anything happened to her. She means too much to me.
But if I know her, I know she will not stop asking. This could be very bad if I don't think of something soon. But I'm not really in the frame of mind based on what happened a little earlier.
Okay, so, I'm not cool with needles. I guess I forgot about that. Cynthia, as long as you keep it clean, I won't use any superpowers. But if I see a needle, I'm going to freak out on you. I don't want to do it, and I will assume you don't want that. But make no mistake, I hate needles, and I will not be held responsible for my actions.
No, I need to take that back. I don't know why you have a needle. And as a superhero, I am always responsible for my actions. I need to control myself.
I am in control of my emotions now. Keira did a wonderful job and I must commend her for that. She really is a life-saver. Kind of like you Cynthia. Except not as skilled. She can play a nurse really well though. Except she's not actually a nurse. I don't know what I'm saying anymore. It's going to be me and you on Wednesday, and the winner is one step closer to the CPW Siren's champion. A title I really want. We'll see who wants it more.
But so help me, if I see a needle, I will lose it.
Just a warning.
